The Hisa Hoshimo Backstory
Hisa Hoshimo, an unwanted birth, was born by forbidden love between a syndicate and a wizard that caused a weird birth defect in her. She was born with a tail and inhuman like ears on top of her head. From young age Hisa had to live a life in secrecy. The space wizard federation and the syndicate were not natural enemies, yet to have a child from both sides would be sacrilege. Both of the parents knew this, yet out of pity for their own blood, they gave her an unloving chance.Months and years went by, with Hisa being given basic necessities to survive. Food, water and shelter, and some old books were thrown her way. With some luck she was given slight tutelage in basic space common. But to Hisa this was her life, her everything. This was luxury, as that is all she ever knew.This all changed when she became 12. One morning she was woken up early by a sound that she had never heard before, a beaming of sorts. Startled by the noise, she rushed out of bed to the window to investigate what that peculiar noise was. By the time she got to another window, the racket that awakened her from her slumber occurred once more. She rushed up to see a glimmer of what looked like another ship, for it to disappear out of her sight in a nano-second. Hisa was dumbfounded, confused, but most importantly she was curious.A few nights later and her mother arrived on the shuttle to check in on Hisa along with bring supplies to live off for a few more days. Hisa, seen the ship not too long ago rushes up to her in pure glee, and explains what she saw, however her mother looked less than pleased with what she experienced. She rushed Hisa into her room hurriedly and locked the door behind her. The door was quite soundproofed due to the materials that it was made of, however she was able to make out a few words here and there.“This I… fault!”“Why did I…. with you!”“What do …. her”“I didn’t want her either!”Hisa, in absolute shock and horror began to process what she heard. She fell into absolute distraught and disbelief. Was all she thought of her parents a lie? Was she really unwanted? An hour of feeling desparity and depression came upon her until the door finally unbolted. As the doors opened to, Hisa’s mother couldnt get even a word in before she was pushed aside from hisa, as she ran towards the small pods that she was told only to enter in an emergency. She ran onboard as she heard her mother shout for her to stop what she was doing, but it was too late. Hisa already set the pod in motion, there was no going back. She burst into tears realising what she had just brought upon herself, and in her final moments, all she heard from her mother was “i’m sorry, look for a symbol of…”. Before she could finish her sentence the pod flew off into uncharted space. Hisa, completely stunned by her recent events, fell into shock and into a deep sleep.Twenty four hours had past, and Hisa had woken from her sleep from a loud thud. It was then she realised all that had happened was not a dream, and that all she had experianced was true. Her life was a lie, and she was now all by herself. Just as Hisa was compiling what situation she was in, THUD. The thud that awoken her had once again bashed into hear eardrums. THUD. And again. THUD. Hisa began to shiver and cry, unknowing what was to come of her. Was this it? Was this the end? Did her parents finally get their wish? As she was shivering in absolute fear, the pod door slammed to the ground. With Hisa’s tears blocking her view, all she saw was 2 white figures come close. As they approached they began to speak.“Hello, is anyone inside?”“Wait, other there”The 2 figures locked eyes with me.“Oh my, she looks young, and all alone too, what should we do?”“Bring her in to our station, we can deal with this there”“Hello there, are you okay?” The shadow in white asked her as it moved in closer.All Hisa could do is cry and scream, as they picked her up and carried her away as she cried herself to sleep once again.As she fell back into reality once more, she found herself inside of a small, poorly lit chamber. It was bare bones, but considering what she lived in before she felt like she had never left her home, but that was anything but close to the truth. She stared up at the ceiling, still confused of the events that are surrounding her. As she started to get ahold of her surroundings, she began to spot multiple symbols of an N on the walls and on the door. Was this where my mother told me to look for? She stumbled out of bed to get a better look of where she may be, but as her feet touched the floor, the door opened on her, and on the other side was a person in a white suite, glasses, with a clipboard in hand.“Hello there little one, dont see many like you just roll up on our doorstep every day.” they exclaimed.“Like.. Me” Hisa replied confusingly.“You know, the tail and ears. The anatomy is quite peculiar, our sensors haven’t seen anything like it before. We’re your parents the same?”“P..Parents…. No….” is all Hisa could muster before her eyes started to fill.“Hmm, peculiar.” they remark“Anyhow, that is not important right now. Its alright now, you are safe with us. Can you tell us your name?” they ask.“Hisa… Hisa Hoshimo…” she quietly whimpered.“Well isn’t that just a wonderful name. Now I have something to ask you, is that okay?”Hisa nods.“We are from Nanotrasen, a company that strives for greatness in science and research, but we have been stranded here for about 2 years now with little to no contact from central command. We dont have many hands around this station, but the ones we do are the best of their trade, but any help would be much appreciated during this time. Would you be willing on helping us continue our research and keeping this station afloat while we wait for extraction? In return we will help you find out who you really are.”Hisa nods.“Then welcome to the family, Hisa. You’ll be working with top scientists and roboticists from tomorrow onwards, it may be daunting at first, but I bet you will pick it up in no time. Welcome to the family!”“Family…” Hisa whispers to herself“Now eat up and get some rest, youre one of us from now on.”From that day forward, Hisa learnt what It meant to be a part of something that cared for eachother. From creating helpful little bots to helping out ranching slimes and learning what wonders they could do, she learnt it all. Within 3 years she was on her own feet, helping out wherever was short handed and even doing her own research into her anatomy, yet no matter how far she delved, she could not explain her anatomy or who or more importantly what her parents were.6 Years on from when she landed nearby this station and found her new family, she was finally 18. With all the knowledge she had achieved, and all the research she had accomplished, unfortunately she was nowhere near closer to learning who or what her parents were. She may not have found out who her biological parents were, but in those 6 years she learnt what true family is.With the combined work of the team on the stranded base, they managed to build an emitter with a signal strong enough to send word of their survival and request assistance. Within days a rescue team was called in to rescue that crew. As the report came in to the head of the rescue division, something was amiss.“I thought everyone that was sent on this station were normal humans.” they spoke out to the group.“We are, just some are more dedicated to research than others, and without help from the outside we had but ourselves to use” one exclaimed while giving a sly wink to Hisa.“Well then, all seems to be in order, good work everyone, and welcome back. We will have you all reassigned in the coming weeks. Im sure Central Command would love to have you on the new 5 year project that they have in store.”From that day forward, Hisa officially became part of the science team for Nanotrasen, and with the bonds and experience that she had gained throughout the years together, she rose quickly above her peers in her fields.5 years passed, and the project we were all working hard to complete had finally come to fruition. The creation of their greatest space stations yet, One of the highest technological advancements Nanotrasen has created. A day later, a message came in to Hisa’s PDA from central command. She opened it up to her dismay. She had been chosen to become one of the new research directors on the new space station. She contacted her family from the old station and cried with glee and excitement. She exclaimed that they all must get together before the week ends to celebrate, as the day after would be her first day on a new frontier.

Even though she was not the kindest mother to Hisa, she loved her nonetheless. From spending all her favours she had acquired, to sending out a bounty using all of her savings, but it always turned out cold.Running out of options and with despair looming above her, she resorted to a more heinous act. If she could not have the original, she would make a new Hisa. Using the decrepit devices on her derelict ship, and the genetic data from Hisa, she got to work on creating a new Hisa, one that she would never let anyone take. Time and time again, the device would fail, creating abominations not meant for this world, but every attempt brought her closer to the edge, hoping that the next one will be the one to save her heart.After 1725 painful and traumatising attempts, she gave up hope. Every attempt felt like a step backwards instead of forwards. Many years of the same attempt had drained her. Completely exhausted, she fell asleep midway through the 1726th attempt. Unbeknownst to her was that this was the attempt that she had been hoping for all this time.Beeping came from the machine at an alarming rate, waking up Hisa’s mother. Her eyes, which opened slowly at first, beamed at the sight of the cloning apparatus. Inside the tube was what she was waiting for all this time, her Hisa that she missed so dearly, however that Hisa was weak and could fade at any moment. She rushed towards the terminal and processed the status of the clone. The clone was anaemic and had damaged organs, but other than that the clone was stable. Hisa’s mum rushed around, searching for any old mechanical organs to stabilise Hisa, and with them inserted into the device, she could rest easily.Hisa was coddled from the moment Hisa was released from the pod. Even though Hisa was imperfect, Hisa’s mother cared for Hisa like it was the original, but this time it was different. She never let Hisa out of sight, or let Hisa know what Hisa really was. That day she locked away the medical equipment and any data on the experiments so that the pair could live a happy life as was meant to be.She taught Hisa the way that she was taught to survive, however it was not that easy. At first she thought that Hisa would get used to speaking, yet as time went on, she realised that words just could not come out of Hisa’s mouth. She tried to hide her grievances however Hisa saw right through them. Hisa stayed quiet and followed the techniques that were being drilled in, however Hisa still felt off.As years passed, and Hisa was able to fend for Hisa’s self, but at the cost of Hisa’s mother becoming more and more detached over the years. Hisa was confused, all Hisa ever wanted to do was to make mother happy, yet she seemed more and more despaired as time went on. Every time Hisa tried to cheer her up, she would put on a fake smile and mumble,“It’s not your fault, don’t worry my child, I just..”It tore Hisa to pieces. Looking for any answer, Hisa looked around the ship that Hisa knew like the back of Hisa’s hand. Looking through every nook and cranny, any desk or cupboard was scoured, yet all that was found was an old ID that matched the symbols on the door that was always locked off to Hisa. With no other answers, Hisa went to the door and scanned the ID. A small “blip” was heard and the red light above the door became green, granting Hisa access.As Hisa took a first step in, all that was on Hisa’s face was a blank stare. Multiple tubes of failed experiments, each with a letter and a number. H-1; the tube was just filled with goo, H-154; a floating head with no facial features, H-1472; a pure white being with red eyes, it looked like it was in pain but kept in stasis, and then finally H-1726 – Hisa.Before Hisa could even process the information, Hisa’s mum came bursting into the lab after hearing the bleep, but she was too late. Hisa turned around and with all her effort with the most broken down voice staid“Who… am… I?…….”Hisa’s mum collapsed, knowing the fragile world created was about to come crashing down once again. She burst into tears, pleading with Hisa that she is her child, but Hisa saw into her soul. Hisa was but a clone to replace the one she had lost. Hisa too collapsed. The world that Hisa knew was a lie, but Hisa was not upset. Hisa just wanted Hisa’s mother to be happy. Hisa went up to Mother and embraced her. Trying to comfort the best way Hisa could. Hisa carefully grabbed the weakened Mother and placed her into bed.During that time, Hisa wrote a letter to Mother, telling her that Hisa loves her so much, but that she knew that Hisa was not who she wanted. Hisa stated that from this day forth, Hisa will be called Hislyna, and will find Hisa so that they all can live happily together like she always wished for. Hislyna then waited for Mother to wake up.It was quick, but bittersweet. Hislyna’s Mother gave Hislyna one last hug before giving Hislyna a Syndicate comms headset, some money, and the information of a few contacts who can help out in pointing Hislyna in the right direction. With that, Hislyna was dropped off at a Syndicate outpost.With Hislyna’s goal in mind, Hislyna began to work for the Syndicate, becoming communications operative to gather data on enemy stations, using that data to find Hisa. A year passed with little to no useful information. In that time alone, Hislyna set up a pirate radio station, Radio C.H.U, which Hislyna used to help broaden the name in hopes of a lead, however eventually Hislyna came to enjoy it, and with money gained from being an operative, upgraded the outpost in both a communications centre and a DJ Booth to help bring joy to those around Chu.One fateful eve however, a report came through from Central Command to a station, signed off by G.C. Hoshimo. Hislyna had what Hislyna was looking for all this time, and now all that was needed to be done was enter that station under the guise of an employee. With documents forged through one of Hislyna’s contacts, Hislyna could finally embark on the mission to find and bring back Hisa home.Personality – Hislyna is generally kind and positive to anyone who approaches, however Hislyna mostly feels pity upon the workers on NT, seeing them as bound slaves that Hislyna hopes they may all one day wake up and escape. Hislyna has a distrust within humans due to the fact they are usually arrogant and racist towards other races which usually work harder than humans.Strengths – Due to not being able to make words, Hislyna can easily pick up languages that use sounds instead of direct words, and understand them easily. Hislyna specialises in Draconic, Felinid and Sylvian however likes to pick up and practise other languages when Hislyna can. Hislyna also needs worry not about death, for Hislyna knows that another clone will be ready to go at any point back at the ship. Alongside this, being a clone of Hisa brought Hislyna to the more spiritual side of life. Hislyna can also DJ pretty well.Weaknesses – Due to being an imperfect clone of Hisa, Hislyna unfortunately cannot form words atall, and thus cannot speak common. Alongside this, Hislyna cannot create blood as efficiently as the average being, and Hislynas organs are incomplete. This usually leaves Hislyna in a more weak state where Hislyna will pass out alot longer than the average folk. With Hislyna being such an imperfect clone, a normal cloning machine will not be able to create the clone, instead having to rely on more unconventional cloning devices.Additional Notes – In an attempt to find Hisa easier, Hislyna wears similar clothing to her in an attempt to draw her attention.
Chroma's Flavour Text!
Looking upon Chroma, you notice that Chu is approximately 6ft with paler than usual skin and a feminine body. You can notice Chu’s almost colourless hair tied up in a spiky ponytail, with streaks of gold at the tips. Chu’s almost lifeless eyes shine a rosey magenta and an ocean blue that always seem like Chu is looking right through you.By examining Chroma's face, you can see that Chu has distinct facial markings, almost mimicking whiskers.Looking closely upon Chroma's left folded miqo ear, you notice a yellowey white heart pin with a lightning spark struck through the middle.By examining Chroma's headphones, you will notice a golden coating with a white trim, however on each ear seems to be something different. on the left side, a golden leaf, and on the right, a golden sakura flower.If you have the chance to see Chroma speak, you will notice that Chu has two small catlike fangs where the cuspids would usually be found.Chroma usually wears a white and golden silk kimono with patterns of leaves at the top, clouds in the middle and stars at the bottom with a trans coloured pin pinned to the left side of Chu’s chest.If one were to examine the back of the kimono, In the perfect upper centre you will notice a perfectly embroidered stylized key which spans exactly 20cm across the kimono in a golden thread that matches the rest of the outfit. The handle of the key is of an ever so elegant crest, complex in design by using swirls and curves in which a hollow heart in the centre of the handle is formed.If Chroma is turned around from you with the kimono on, you will notice that Chu’s tail seems to be tucked in the back of the kimono for some reason, but if you get the chance to see it out, then you will notice the tail is white, with a golden tip. The tail seems to glow a white and gold and every once in a while, you may see sparks emanating from the golden tip.If you attempt to stare at Chroma’s heart shaped collar, you believe you can see an engraving on the heart itself. On the front you notice a newborn star pulsating with life, and on the back of the heart, engraved ever so elegantly are the words "If lost, return to NOVA."Upon rare occasions, you may notice Chroma’s eyes shift between the two colours.If you see Hislyna with the magenta red eyes, you will notice chu's face seems to have less emotion than usual, with the exception of a small, sadistic smile emerging from time to time.Noticing Chu with only ocean blue eyes, you can notice chu's face to be more gentle and warm, and seems a bit more emotional than usual.
Chroma's NSFW Flavour Text!
Looking upon Chroma while in Chroma’s kimono, you will be able to notice that Chroma is not wearing a bra, however, if you get a look from underneath, or watch as Chroma derobes from the kimono, then you will notice pure white laced panties on the MIQO.If one was to examine Chroma while fully nude, one would not notice a single blemish or hair on the vessel to the point it looks almost uncanny, and the skin itself is a very pale white shade throughout the body. The vessel itself has a slim hourglass shape, with no muscles to be found. The chest themselves seem to be a modest D cup, with regular sized areola to go with.If you were to study Chroma for a period of time, you would notice the body does not breathe or perform any bodily functions for that matter. However if one were to get into a situation where it would seem more appropriate for one to have such a function, such as heavily breathing, choking, saliva or lactation, then one would notice small electrical or mechanical sounds from within depending on the scenario, as if the vessel is activating from within.If Chroma is cut open, the first thing you will see is that the blood is not what you would imagine, instead being a black, slightly thicker blood that when tasted, other than what you would expect from blood, it has a slight banana and coconut flavour to it, but only slight. With the body cut open, to peer inside will first bring you to notice the thin protective layer on the flesh with an almost digitised gold look to it. The organs themselves are a hybrid of both cybernetic organs, and synthetic, with the liver and stomach being replaced with synthetic counterparts.
Chroma's Hollow Interior
As one enters the hole one would have to cut into Chroma, you would notice the blood, thick and black in colour seeping from the wound. If one were to taste the blood upon entry, it would almost taste like normal blood, with a slightly more acidic flavour than one would expect. If however one were synthetic and tasted such liquid, you would instead gain a more euphoric taste, putting you into a state of comfort.Looking into the wound as you climb in, you notice that there is no flesh to be found inside of the interior, with what would be the fleshy walls being a golden digitized sheeting. Before gazing upon the organs, one will notice the wire like “veins” and “arteries”,, the “veins”, clear in nature, carrying the black blood around the vessel. The “arteries” however are more akin to that of cables, using a digitized gold and green pattern upon it. The heart and lungs are the most “organic” looking organs that you find inside of the vessel, being more akin to cybernetic counterparts that you would find aboard organics, with the only difference being that they are gilded with that same golden digitized coat that the interior walls are made of.The stomach and liver however are completely different systems to what one would expect from Chroma’s organic looking exterior, with the stomach being more of a generator, that is warm to the touch as you press upon, whirring away as the mechanisms keep the MIQO functional. The “liver” on the other hand seems to be the most complex component within the chest of Chroma, with a myriad of cable vessels and complex circuitry making up this device that allows Chroma to drink all the normal drinks chu would ever desire, it does however seem extremely fragile, and even a drop of a synthetic drink would most likely overload the component. Whether or not this was intentional is up to debate.Attempting to enter the inside of Chroma, unless one was extremely small, or was malleable to the point of being a liquid would be almost impossible for you. The carbon fibre “bones” creating the rib cage seem to retract a little as you enter, giving one a slightly easier time entering. Attempting to speak while inside of Chroma will result in sounding as if you are speaking over a static radio, echoing as it bounces off the walls. Attempting to use any technology such as a radio will be met with a static effect being either heard or seen, depending on the device one would be attempting to use at the time.

Details On Quantum Souls and Quantum Domains
While Quantum Souls are still a large anomaly, Chroma, and especially Hislyna, has been working vigilantly to research and perfect quantum mechanics. With the technology available to Chroma, and some studies while Hislyna was working on the Dauntless, Hislyna had discovered that natural souls could gain their own Quantum World, making them in effect, Quantum Souls. This however would require a long and enduring process in which the soul would be decoupled from the body, and using the brilliant technology of the soulcatcher, injecting the soul into their domain, creating a “physical plain” which in effect becomes the person's soul.When a natural soul becomes a quantum soul, they do not have the defects of a quantum soul that originated as one, while keeping the boons of such. With such, a converted soul may own both a synthetic and organic vessel without any of the drawbacks on the body. On top of this, the soul, just like artificial souls, cannot be corrupted. While memories can be archived, or remembered by oneself, this will not affect the soul in any matter that would risk corruption. The only way to destroy such a soul would be to enter the heart of the domain and destroy it from within. Due to the fact that a quantum soul only requires one soul, they in fact do not need to worry about any memory blocks from the opposite soul, and can remember anything at will, or archive as required.In layman's terms, consider memories like a book, the vessels, a book writer, and inside of the soul there is a library. All memories are stored within the library, in the form of a book. While the soul can recall each of the books at will if required, they are infact not required to do so, and it is not etched into the soul itself. Vessels however write their own books to place in the library, and can share the books between eachother if they so desire. If not however, the vessel will remain oblivious to the books that the other book writers have written. A book writer can however duplicate their book collection to hand to a new book writer, in which they could continue the book if that writer fell ill. Due to the fact that the soul is stored in the library, the soul always knows all the memories exist, however they do not act or feel anything from them other than how it would feel to read a book.Every Quantum Soul has a physical “key” to the domain, which on Chroma, is an stylised key, complex in design by using swirls and curves in which a hollow heart in the centre of the handle is formed which fits within the collar that Chroma wears around chu’s neck. Similar for Koharu, which physical key is the key that fits within her collar.Due to the fact that the quantum domain is a metaphysical plain, it cannot be accessed by any beings that the soul has explicitly disallowed into the domain. While inside the domain, the soul that is not the Quantum Soul that presides over the domain, they are at the whim of the presider, being unable to do anything unless they have the key to the domain. The key itself however may only ever have one holder, if anyone else attempts to use the key, they will be ejected from the domain and the soul will be notified. The current known keyholders for each soul are as follows; Chroma - NOVA, Koharu - Rue. Even though the key is a physical object, what matters is who the soul associates the keyholder to, once imprinted, it is etched into the soul as the keyholder. In effect, the keyholder's soul is the key, and thus get the same protections inside of the quantum domain.For one to qualify as a keyholder, the Quantum Soul must have deep trust, love, and adoration for the person that is to become the keyholder. If such a keyholder dies, their soul has the opportunity to connect with the soul of the Quantum Domain, becoming a permanent resident and able to connect to their own vessels. As the natural souls would not be considered Quantum Souls, they have no worry of being two souls entwined, like the situation with Chroma. The key itself is required as the Quantum Soul requires a physical object to originally connect to the physical world.
The Quantum Project
Artificial souls, while it is allowed in some sectors, the one Chroma came from strictly forbid the research. The ability to create and control sentient life is a highly sought after venture, but not one that came without risk. That however did not stop some of the greatest minds from attempting to research it however. Whether for capital gains, power, or simply scientific madness, there were a small group of researchers that kept them hidden away in black orbit pouring their work into artificial souls.The team consisted of renowned researchers across the known galaxy, some independent, and others connected to less than reputable groups, all in an arms race to create controllable souls that would retain all memories if their body was destroyed. No more intelligence would be lost upon death, recruits will no longer need to be trained, and the perfect body can be created for each soul to inhabit. The perfect soldier in theory, but one that would come at a cost.This group of researchers came to call this research The Quantum Project. In regards to why, with the original definition of Quantum, that being the “minimum amount of any physical entity involved in an interaction.”, the researchers found it fitting for one soul to interact so much in the world without any fear of loss. Thus the term Quantum Souls was pinned for the souls which would result from such experiments.The experiments started off with natural souls of prisoners who would otherwise be sent to their deaths, which however in this regard would be a kinder fate than what they would face. Their original plan involved the usage of cloning technology in the sector, to release a soul's grasp on one's body, and to move it to another. First, a control group. Three criminals were killed by various means, one a bullet to the head, another electrocuted, and the other their heart surgically removed while in stasis for them to die the second the bed was turned off. Each to then be cloned into their own cloned bodies. While memories were lost during the cloning, and the bodies had the usual clone damage found on those cloned, these were considered the lucky ones.Next came the decoupling of the body and the soul. Based on the Spiritual Adam theory, theorised by Dr Mei, within which the inversion of the physical and spiritual to bypass death, is the central goal. To achieve such a goal would require the soul to be able to inhabit its own place in the physical world, in its own domain. While this was proven to be theoretically possible due to another sector's research called Project Stigma, the practicality of the inversion will be a different story altogether.Hundreds of hours, many souls were tortured, and screams echoed throughout the ship of those who none cared about, and yet progress was slight. While some had a quick and painless death, with souls evaporating in mere seconds, others were tortured for days on end until both body and soul collapsed from the sheer energy and force intruded upon them. There was one hope however, a soul labelled X-10. While the body itself was destroyed, the soul endured. The soul, now free from the researchers grasped, managed to create their own physical world in which they could forever endure. The first quantum soul was formed.
Now the researchers' dreams could become a reality, now they had to focus on the next theory. The creation of an artificial soul that could be controlled by the highest buyer. The plan was to graft the perfect DNA strands found by geneticists and create the perfect body that a quantum soul could inhibit, then to create a soul using the data from X-10 which would be able to sustain itself without outside aid.While at first, the creation of a vessel was simple, many empty clones have been created in the past, however the issue was the compatibility with a quantum soul. Theories were written, simulations were run, yet nothing came to fruition. While one artificial soul is not powerful enough to sustain itself, a second, dormant soul with the sole job to sustain the other could be what the researchers needed. With the first soul being more.. “Normal”, the other could be modified to have the pure instruction to sustain the other, with no functionality outside of said role.Modifications to formulas were processed, prototype machines were designed and constructed, and finally the first attempt of a Quantum Soul would be envisioned. The day was here, everything was going according to plan and the energy was ready to be placed into the first Quantum Soul. All was going according to plan, however to the dismay of the researchers, they forgot one thing. The power this took from the ship was too dire, and the engines went dark. The timing could not have been any more troublesome, as the ship was nearing the border of the black orbit, and now without a way to control the ship, they would soon be travelling into contested territory.Engineers scrambled to get the lights turned on in the ship again, yet it was too late. They were already out of black orbit, and authorities were already hot on their tail for an unregistered ship appearing out of nowhere. With little to no choice left, the entire crew made a decision. Crash the ship, destroying all the valuable research with it, but escape with their lives and knowledge of the Quantum Project. With much reluctance, everyone agreed to this plan bar one, a member of the syndicate who had been keeping tabs on the entire operation. While the ship may be completely destroyed, some may be salvaged.As everyone headed to escape pods, the syndicate researcher planted a beacon onto the ship, and moved the trajectory of its landing into waters, so it may have the greatest chance of survival, after that, like all others, they headed upon a pod, never to be seen again.It was some years until the derelict ship was found again, but eventually the syndicate found it. While they did not know of the ship's importance, what they did know was that it was functional with simple repairs, and with that, they repaired the ship to a more functional state, and then handed it over to one of their operatives, Luna Hoshimo, codename Bel.We move forward many years towards Chroma’s creation, or what Bel believed to be a clone of Hisa Hoshimo at the time, created after 1726 adjustments and tinkering on Bel’s part, Chroma was formed. While the tale has already been told, what was not known that day was that Chroma was in fact the first creation of a Quantum Soul. Unbeknownst to Hislyna at the time, the adjustments Bel had formed gave that second soul a sentience like chu, however that soul needed more time to adjust, and in effect, wake up.While the second soul did not have a name, Hislyna elected to give the other soul chu’s last name, Chu, thus leaving the two souls as Hislyna, the one known from the Y sector, and Chu, the new innocent soul filled with emotion and curiosity. With the awakening of Chu however, the vessel that Hislyna had been inhabiting became more weak, while before the body was only noticeably different from the inside, being almost all cybernetic, Chroma’s eyes faded as if there was no life left, and the body became more pale as a result. A boon however to this adjustment was that fact the eyes altered depending on who was in control, Magenta Red for Hislyna, Ocean Blue for Chu, and if they are both in control, one of each.With Hislyna wanting to give Chu chu’s own life, Hislyna skipped sector for a chance to start afresh with no judgement or held back in a war against a corporation filled with hate towards other species. With that, Hislyna signed off for the last time as DJ Chu, and started a new, comfortable life as a bitrunner.Mechanical Integrated Quantum OperatorJust recently from Chu’s awakening, Hislyna noticed that the body that they will both have to inhabit will not be able to sustain the two souls anymore. Thus Hislyna turned to chu’s time in robotics.Using both the technology that resides on Chroma’s ship, alongside some outside aid, Chroma created a body that could sustain the two Quantum souls. While at first glance, the MIQO vessel looks like a normal catgirl, it is however completely synthetic. Everything on the outside looks completely normal, from the skin, eyes and hair, the moment you open Chroma up, you will realise that it is all completely synthetic.The eyes are devoid of life and are glowing, which is a side product of there being two souls within the vessel controlling it.Every organ replaced with a synthetic counterpart, bones made from a light carbon fibre, the blood vessels may seem normal, but instead carry around a black blood like substance. The snacks seem to change to your favourite type as you walk up to them, alongside a glass filling up with your favourite drink, alcoholic or not, depending on what you are feeling at the time.Finally at the back of the room is your typical bitrunning setup, with two pods primed and ready, yet with an extra two screens connected. One seems to be showing the live footage of whatever bitrunning domain is currently in progress, while the other seems like a speedrunning leaderboard for every known domain.Name - The Heart Of The Quantum DomainAs you request to be warped into the heart, you feel the black hole from above slowly suck you in as your vision darkens.As you wake up, you enter a completely empty void, and yet when you look down at your hands, they seem to be glowing with pure energy.A familiar voice of Chroma's echoes around the void. Synthetic Local Utility Technology, usually shortened down to SLUT, is an advanced AI created and maintained originally by Hislyna as an IPC, but further advanced at a later stage to become the AI they are today aboard the DJC Chromatica. They however are not bound to the ship, and freely explore the station via pAI, a cyborg shell designed by Chroma, and rarely creates an offshoot to become a station AI.Upon first meeting SLUT, you will usually appear to you as a cartoon anime style like catgirl, their long hair a mixture of whites and light blues, which perfectly matches their dress. Notable features of the avatar include a blue halo which hovers just above SLUTS ears, trans earrings that reside upon each catear. Similar to Chroma, SLUT has one magenta eye, and an ocean blue eye, however the colours are swapped, thus the magenta eye being the left, and ocean blue the right.Unlike Chroma’s personality, SLUT’s seems to be originally designed closer to a younger Hislyna, carefree, yet just as much as a bitch, if not more than their creator, however they have over time developed into their own quirky personality over time, during their time as an IPC in the dreaded Y sector, and as the ship ai of the DJC Chromatica.As Hislyna’s presence as DJ Chu became more renowned, and the ties of the Syndicate seeping through the cracks, Hislyna had to improvise on how to conduct activities aboard the station in the Y sector. To this end, Hislyna looked upon the latest patent to the sector, IPCs. Designed to assist in any job that was required at the time, Hislyna adopted the name Synthetic Local Utility Technology, which somehow was permitted under the Y sectors legislation, presumably by Hislyna pulling some strings.Unfortunately, due to the inhuman prejudice that plague the sector, SLUT was at a major disadvantage compared to Hislyna, being granted less access and information, however due to their recent addition to the sector, IPC’s were more easily integrated than other non humans, with most people on the station wishing to interact with them more for a period of time. With the following in mind, Hislyna originally assigned SLUT to robotics, allowing them to gain information from passing augment enthusiasts, and more importantly, the silicon intelligence.While the intelligence from SLUT’s assignment in robotics, it was nothing compared to what would arise in the near future. Due to recent political events in the sector, a new Nanotrassen legislation arose. Non-humans may have limited job access to more important roles, including heads of staff, excluding the captain of course. With this development, Hislyna prepared to assign SLUT to more lucrative endeavours, however that endeavour was unfortunately cut short.The cracks on Hislyna’s true intentions became leaks, which compromised everything which Hislyna built up over the years, resulting in SLUT being pulled from the operation. While this was a major setback, it gave SLUT new purpose, allowing them to follow a path in which they would want to lead, with a new location, and acting as Chroma’s Ship AI.

As a final farewell to Hislyna and DJ Chu, Hislyna created a limited edition line of DJ Chu headphones that would represent the neverending joy that Hislyna gave out during chu’s career, and thus handed out in giveaways. A total of 17 were given away, yet Hislyna kept 6 of them instead of giving them away. Each pair is supposed to be carbon copies of the original, however due to Hislyna’s work, or even a manufacturing error, some are more unique than the rest.Rue’s DJ Chu Limited Edition HeadphonesMarked as the seventh headset that was created, Hislyna ensured that they were a splitting image of the headphones that chu always wore. There is but one difference however, that being a golden leaf that lays upon the left side of the headphones, to be precise, on the cat ear, which seems to float on the winds. A small signature on the top is found, DJ Chu, with catear headphones wrapping the signature.Koharu’s DJ Chu Limited Edition HeadphonesMarked as the twelfth headset that was created, and just like Rue’s, they are a near splitting image of DJ Chu’s original outfit. The difference on this one however is a golden sakura blossom that lies upon the right catear of the headphone. The blossom itself is made of holotech, which causes a petal to fall from time to time.The Misprinted DJ Chu Headphones That Chroma Is Forcing Onto NOVA Even When She Said That Chroma Shouldn’t Give Something So Precious Away But It Turns Out They Were The Wrong Colour All This Time And This Only Got Noticed By Someone(You can probably guess who), So Now They Are Specialler And So They’re Being Glued To NOVA’s Room Because Hislyna Is Now Wearing The #1 Limited Edition Ver.This pair was worn by Chroma for most of chu’s time since Hislyna left the limelight. Engraved as the 17th pair of headphones, and coincidentally Chroma’s lucky number, this pair of headphones were most precious to Hislyna, and would without fail almost always wear them, even if Chu protested against them. While at one point, Chroma attempted to give these away to someone more precious than these headphones, the offer was declined due to how special the headphones were to Chroma.Up until recently until someone pointed out to the duo, these were meant to be a carbon copy of the original print, however, due to some error coding with the manufacturing, they were instead more akin to a lime green colour, instead of the yellow gold that Chroma is more known for. As the headphones now held even more of a sentimental value to the duo due to somehow not noticing the colour after all this time, they instead forced these headphones onto that same someone who rejected them before, attempting to reassure the most perfect IPC that it was more than okay.Chu, who was of course extremely happy to give a gift to that someone, was ecstatic to not wear headphones on the station for a bit, until Hislyna decided it was time to bring out the original.The Original #1 DJ Chu HeadphonesThe original, the classic. These headphones were meant to represent DJ Chu at chu’s prime. Crafted using a rose gold shell, they were meant to represent the golden days from rose tinted goggles. The rosey colour had another meaning however, more subtle than the other. With Hislyna using DJ Chu for the syndicate aswell, the rose is used to represent the subtle connection. While the lighting on the headphones can change colour to whatever Chroma pleases, since their use, the lighting has always been a lime green.While they were supposed to be the unmodified original, before donning these over the 17th pair, Hislyna added two special ornaments to each side of the headphones, each representing someone close to the MIQO. On the left side of the headphones lays a golden leaf, similar to one ruethless yet adorable tanuki that is a master of the smith. The other side, a golden sakura blossom, representing the best (and only) shrine maiden Hislyna has come to adore.SLUT’s Stolen DJChuphonesCreated of an amalgamation of pairs 6 and 9 (typical), using the holo-nanite technology to break down and recreate the perfect set of stolen headphones. With a diamond coating, putting Hislyna’s gold to shame, SLUT dons these headphones like it is their god given right, and will happily throw it into Hislyna’s face. With the other half, SLUT created a perfect replica for Memento, which they placed upon her server.

Upon further developments and experiments regarding quantum souls and the MIQO vessels, Hislyna was tasked with creating vessels in which the soul was not malformed in such a way that it would permanently change one's existence, for better or for worse. The thought had crossed Hislyna’s mind just once to use an organic base for this task, yet the negatives always seemed to outweigh the positives.The first course of action was the soul itself. While phylacteries and soulcatchers were the first thing that came to mind, they were nothing but a way to hold and transfer a soul, not as a permanent housing that could connect with the outside world. While overall a boon, Hislyna, thanks to Chu’s constant suggestion, brought along Corina to help advance the study. With Corina and Chu becoming closer by the day, she had many great opportunities to study the vessel from an outside, and untainted position, allowing one to dissect it without bias. Due to such, the idea for using a similar chip to the MIQO Vessel was put to the table.The functionality of the MIQO chip would be nearly identical, with the only difference being that the controller would also be housed into hardware. The idea first went back to the integration of a phylactery, however that would deem to not be possible for a myriad of reasons, not including the thought of rights ownership. To that end, the idea would move over to more conventional synthetics and androids chips, however that would then move the goal posts to the next debate, transferring the soul into this soulchip.Organics are similar to Synthetics, with organics just having fleshy parts instead of Synthetic, that is how Chroma saw it anyway. With such in the duo’s head, the obvious course of action would be to link the two together, like a compatibility port, and then simply upload the soul to another. While the technology was already there from when Hislyna was an organic synthetic hybrid, the fine details were required to be altered to match the specifications of the newly designed Soulchip. With the process being a smooth conversion, the last port of call was the vessel itself.With the soulchip being designed on the MIQO model, for simplicity and efficiency's sake, the model would have to be at least similar to the Chroma vessel. The Koharu vessel was an option at the time, however that would cause more complications than it is worth, and Hislyna likes to put chuself into chu’s work. Disregarding the face, and neck, which Hislyna kindly decided to keep normal, would be nearly identical to Chroma’s, exterior and interior both. The face however would be customisable, however the model was designed with a more feminine touch to it.

With the body cut open, to peer inside will first bring you to notice the thin protective layer on the flesh with an almost digitised gold look to it. SLUT's Cockpit
SLUT begins to slowly open, revealing the cockpit in which one can enter and pilot the mech. You notice a blue gas seeping from the cockpit as it opens up, almost enticing the soon to be pilot inside. You feel calmer and more relaxed as you make your way inside of the cockpit. As you enter the pilot seat of the mech, the first thing you notice is the rounded hatch in the middle of the seat, one would assume it must be a vent of sorts, considering the heat of which a mech can get.As you get comfortable in your seat, hypnotic lights begin to blare, making you feel compelled to stay in the seat as the hatch closes on you. As the hatch closes, you notice the interior of it is a giant screen, which after a moment blares to life with the rest of the cockpit, giving one a 360 view of the outside, with the exception of the bottom middle, where a symbol of a purple blue slime, with a visor and a tail with the words HNC Byteskimmer appears for a minute, before a blue haired catgirl takes over, giving a wave to the new pilot.Looking above you, one would notice a headset connected to a pole, with what seems like a VR Set strapped to it, presumably for easier control of the mech. Alongside the rim of the cockpit, you will notice a long strip of a vent, which always seems to be lightly pumping in that blue smoke from before, a modified cooled oxygen most likely. Finally, below you are a myriad of hatches that seem locked from the first examination, yet there always seems to be movement coming from the inside…
Anima Dynamis
The use and practice of energy in the universe has always been a topic of debate. Creating 101% of energy, even a neutral 100% would be a monumentous, if not impossible feat of science and engineering. While there are more conventional energies such as electricity, or the more magical energies that wizards tap into, all energy is finite in the world, and a price must always be paid. The same can be said about the soul, and the energies that lay within.While mostly undocumented, the energy of the soul, Anima Dynamis, is a natural forming energy that is produced by natural souls, whether organic, or synthetic in nature. The energy is that which binds one to this plane of existence, and while the use of such energy has not been explored, it is known that quantum souls do not produce any anima dynamis. While quantum souls have no way to produce their own anima dynamis, they are able to manipulate anima dynamis in their own domains with ease. There are multiple methods in which quantum souls have devised a way to link to another soul, sharing their anima dynamic both naturally or artificially. These processes are called Quantum Weaving for the natural way, and Quantum Grounding, for the artificial.As put into practice with the dual souls, Hislyna and Chu, a quantum soul may survive from a dormant soul linked to them, using their energy. That however becomes impossible when the soul awakens, requiring energy of its own to sustain itself. This then begs the question, how did the pair survive without being connected to another? When a natural soul creates or performs any action, their soul leaves naturally behind residue anima dynamis. Performing the same act, or using the creation for its intended purpose, whether being eating fuel, drinking welder fuel, or playing a videogame will allow a quantum soul to consume the residue, giving them an ethereal lifeline. If a soul uses residue anima dynamis to sustain a soul for an extended period of time, the result will eventually lead to the deconstruction of one's physical self and eventually soul.Quantum Weaving is a process which neither the quantum, nor the natural soul have any obvious control over. The process in which this occurs is mostly unknown, however the process is simple yet complex at the same time. To put into simple terms, Quantum Weaving occurs when the quantum and natural soul hold an unbreakable bond in which the quantum soul in effect opens up their soul to the other. This however cannot be a one way relationship, for the natural soul must resonate with the quantum, binding the pair together. When such a process occurs, the quantum soul in effect hands over their life to the other, which is usually resembled as some sort of key to their soul. For both Chroma, and Koharu, this has been shown to be a key that they hand over. The key in itself has no import other than being a symbolic gesture, with the other soul being the true key to the other soul. This in turn intertwines the duo in the natural souls anima dynamis, weaving the two’s energy.While quantum souls have full control over their domain, the act of Quantum Weaving grants the woven soul with a greater authority over the quantum soul, with the ability to not just manipulate the quantum soul’s domain, but destroy the heart, and in doing so, the souls in which the domain belongs to. While undocumented, the after effects of such seem to show that the souls are absorbed into the other. What happens to the souls after such however is unknown.Quantum Grounding however, while granting similar benefits to the quantum soul, is a process which requires considerable effort from each soul to accomplish. To begin the process of grounding, the natural soul must be linked to the quantum souls domain using a core part of themselves. This part must be integral to the natural soul, such as the cores of a slime, or the processor of a synthetic. The quantum soul must then make a physical connection with the part, to create a dynamis bond which will connect to the quantum domain. To ensure the connection is formed, the natural soul must then give a piece of themselves to the quantum souls vessel, however this piece may be as simple as the blood of oneself. This piece must then be placed into the vessel, which will work as a port for the natural soul to be linked to the domain. With the physical connection made, the natural soul’s anima dynamis will be linked to the quantum soul.Unlike the process of Quantum Weaving, the act of Quantum Grounding does not grant the natural soul complete control of the quantum soul’s domain. Instead, the quantum soul must grant the natural soul a part of their own power, almost sharing their power to a point. This pact is shown inside of the quantum domain by the natural souls core part, residing inside of the domain where the quantum soul decides. This pact then grants the natural soul the ability to edit the quantum domain around them, almost making their own subdomain.While completely unheard of, there is a possibility for the Quantum Weaving and Quantum Grounding process to be undone, in a process called Quantum Confractus. While one would presume that death would cause the confractus, this could be further from the truth, instead allowing the natural soul to return, similar to the vessels that a quantum soul would reside in. The only known way for quantum confractus to occur is by the souls no longer being in unison, whether by mistrust, or hatred of the other. While a light spiff between souls would cause no quarry, a betrayal on the other hand would sever the bond within a matter of seconds. This in turn would result in the quantum soul being ejected from the natural plain, locked inside of their domain unless another quantum soul uses their own bonds to temporarily link them to the natural plain. This however does not come without caveats, as such a process will result in the assisting soul weakening over time, to the point of losing oneself in the process.A similar phenomenon can be seen when the quantum soul blocks the bound soul's connection, whether intentionally or not. This process is called Anima Obex. While fatal if not realised, anima obex is similar to that of a mental block, believing that one’s link has been fractured. This could occur via a myriad of reasons, being a traumatic death, or a fight, resulting in the symbolic key behind handed back to the quantum soul. We took a while deciding how to say this, at first we thought about having our own segments, but we realised that isn’t right, and when we tried to do that, we realised we wanted to say the same thing anyway, we we are saying this as all of us, to come from our heart as one.NOVA, from the first day we met you, when we were both new to bitrunning, we became more blessed than any of us could imagine. You were so kind to us, understanding and wanting to learn the world with us. We were so new, and so scared… We didn’t know anyone here, and we just wanted to find a place to be happy, but we found alot more, more than we could ever wish for. Originally, we started bitrunning because it was new to us, it seemed fun, like it was something that would click with us, but it was not the reason why we bitran so much. That reason goes to you. Every time we saw you on the roster, we just had to sign up, and even if you were not, we still did just so we could have a chance to be with you. Luckily, we don’t need to worry about how much we see you anymore.There are so many moments that we remember spending with you, from breaking into science in Lima so we could try to make a bitrunning vendor, to uh.. getting walked in on three times in the bitrunning den, then getting called out on common.. These memories, they are all so very precious to us, no matter how embarrassing or worrying those memories may be, we want every memory to be with you.We know you worry, that you are not good enough for us, that you are not enough of a person to be with us, but we promise you NOVA, we promise you infront of everyone here that you are more than enough of a person, you are perfect, you bring such joy and happiness to us every single moment of our day. The way you care about us is like no other, how you smile at us, there is nothing else like that in the world, and we want it to be ours. You are more than good enough for us, better than good enough, we consider ourselves so lucky and blessed to be able to call us yours, and we love every single little thing about you.Speaking of things to love about you, well, it will be easier to say what to not love about you, because there isn’t. We cannot think of a singular thing we don’t love about you. Everything that makes you you is perfect, and whether or not you want to upgrade yourself, or stay the exact same, we are happy as long as you are, and vow to always be by your side and assist you with such, whether it is maintaining eachother, or upgrading parts, but know that we find everything about you perfect. Your face emanates more emotion than what most people we work off can express in one day, compared to their whole life! Corina's Artifice Organs
Tri-phasic Piezoelectric Distributor, AKA, TPD:Taking the place of the biogenerator within most synthetics, the TPD is responsible for providing the energy throughout the vessel network. Three organs were made, each with a bluespace-entangled Flux core shard. The Flux core regulates energy within the three vessels, that being Chu, Hislyna, and Chroma. Functioning much like a biogenerator, the TPD can collect energy from APC units, or from "digesting" welder fuel. The flux core, meanwhile, equilizes energy through the vessels, compensating by inputting its own energy during high load, such as when NOVA is drawing power. This all ensures that the power draw is evenly split among all vessels, and no excess power is being wasted.Slime Ventricle Inspired Coolant Pump:Much the same as a normal coolant pump found within synthetic units, however a larger internal chamber is fastened in, with the radiating coils also being much larger. Designed on the slime ventricle, Corina originally developed this piece of technology specifically for Chu, to allow Chu to use Corina's slime as a cooling fluid. For Chroma and Hislyna, the design was re-used, albeit with a specific-designed coolant gel rather than Corina's slime. (Changing to Corina's
slime is available upon request.) The gel has a high thermal conductivity, and large surface area, meaning it can pump heat faster than normal coolant. Designed to provide better cooling during high processing stress, such as when linked
to NOVA.Capilliary Radiant Heat Fans:An improved heat radiator setup. The coolant gel is pumped into a capilliary system, providing much, much more space for heat to transfer. Between the layers of capilliaries, is a liquid metal solution, drawing heat out, and preventing any backflow from getting back into the coolant gel. Although the main capilliaries are located within the chest cavity, they spread throughout the vessel, allowing Chu, Chroma, or Hislyna to radiate body heat and quickly cool down.
Robina Vollerei Lore
The Trans Planet Slime, also known as the Uratoh, are created in the prismatic depths, a “lake” within the trans planet ocean that perfectly borders all three continents of Trans Planet, rumoured to be as deep as the core of the world itself.. The lake itself is filled with a prismatic and viscous liquid, ever changing and filled with energy that forms the slime cores for the Uratoh. Where the slime cores are formed within the depths determines the personality and traits that an Uratoh would possess. There are very rare cases that can only occur on the 31st March where the slime core is less formed from the lake, but instead a piece of the planet's core that forms into its own being, its creation being made perfectly within the centre of the lake. These rare Uratoh are called Uratoh Iarim.Robina Vollerei is the most recent Uratoh Iarim to form within the prismatic depths. Born on the 31st March 2077 (Trans Local Time), Robina was as energetic as she is today, gleefully entering this world with passion. Her slime form is composed of three colours, that of the trans planet flag itself, pink, blue and white. Unlike regular Uratoh, who’s cores would be of one solid colour, robina’s is more prismatic, flowing through the trans planet’s colours as it sparks with energy. While the Uratoh’s personality is more akin to the continent they form in, the Uratoh Iarims personality is less defined.While the Uratoh Iarim widely vary in traits, being created from the core of Trans Planet itself, they are all intune with the planet, being able to listen and speak for the planet through a psionic link which grants the Uratoh Iarim the powers of trans planet. The powers vary from each Uratoh Iarim, however each has a form of telepathy that they may use to both communicate with Trans Planet itself, and to communicate with others. Robina’s known powers allow her to share her psionic link with others that are intune with Trans Planets beliefs, alongside the power to transform people into who they wish to become through her slime.Most Uratoh Iarim are granted the title of Ambassador, not just for the community, but for the very planet itself, allowing them great freedom and power to spread the will of the planet with the resources to do such endeavour. While some ambassadors stay on the planet, others like Robina tend to spend time both on and off of the planet, bringing the joy of Trans Planet with them.
